The Brecon Beacons national park is the other side of the river for walkers, birdwatchers and nature lovers at any time of the year, the river Towy is just 5 minutes walk away where the Salmon fishing is second to none. History buffs can walk to the nearby Dinefwr Castle with other mediaeval castles nearby, tracing your ancestors could not be easier with parish records housed in St Teilo’s church opposite and contact with local genealogists can be arranged.
Renowned artist Andrew Douglas Forbes is resident and private art classes may be arranged.
For quieter moments why not indulge for “a time more elegant”, laze the day way in the garden playing boules or crocket, our garden house is well equipped with Lloyd loom chairs a backgammon set and a wind up gramophone player with traditional 78s records.
